PCB confirms window for PSL 9- The chairman of the PCB Management Committee Zaka Ashraf headed over the meeting of the PSL Governing Council at the National Cricket Academy here.
In this meeting, they discussed a number of issues regarding the cricket series and tournament. In this meeting, they also discuss how many teams are going to participate in the PSL 9 edition. Since 2015 PSL has been running successfully in the country and every season has been more successful than the last one. A lot of international players participated in the event.

PCB confirms window for PSL 9 Details:
In the last eight editions only six teams participated in the premier league and people are looking for more teams in the league. But in today’s meeting, they announced that there is no chance of increasing the new team and in the upcoming event only six teams will participate.
For two seasons there has a news regarding the announcement of a new team but for the last two years no new team added to the league and this year also there is no chance of the addition of a team.
After the end of the last season the former chairman of the PCB Management Committee Najam Sethi, in a meeting declared that they are looking for more teams and have a chance of a new team in the next edition.
In the interview, former chairman of the PCB Management Committee Najam Sethi said: If you ask me what are their plans for the next PSL then he said I just want to say that there will be an addition of two or more teams. But he also mentioned that they have just decided and they need approval from the franchises and if it is possible then they will show an addition of two more teams.
PSL Season 9:
In the interview, they said that if they have to face a loss after the addition of two or more new teams then it will not be good. But if it works they will surely do this. So he said they are working on it.
He said they are having meetings with the teams and said they have put an end to the discussion that in the next month they will surely end it and they will complete the model of PSL of 10 years.
In the last season, they also hosted the three women’s matches on the sideline of the PSL 8. In this season they are going to announce something new and will provide similar opportunities to the teams.
They will decide on some exhibition matches during the HBL PSL for the support and promotion of the women’s cricket team and they will get more opportunities.
The PCB confirms window for PSL 9 but still, they didn’t disclose it and there is a chance in the next meeting after the confirmation they will announce the schedule.
PCB confirms the window for PSL 9 between 8 February to 24 March 2024. But a final schedule has yet not been announced and they will disclose the schedule in the next meeting.
